Monday Morning Prayer

Be Still, and Know

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Psalm 46:10

In seasons of loss, stillness can feel uncomfortable, even painful. Our hearts ache, our minds race, and we long for something to make the sorrow ease.

Sometimes, the most faithful thing we can do isn’t to fill the silence but to enter it. To breathe. To let God meet us right where we are.

When we pause, we begin to sense His presence in the quiet, sacred moments of our days…in our tender hearts, our tears, our stillness.

When we slow down, His Word begins to take root. When we rest in Him, peace begins to rise.

Lord, thank You for being near to the brokenhearted. Quiet our anxious thoughts and remind us that even in our grief, we are held. Help us to rest in Your love, to sit and linger in Your presence, and to let Your peace rise within us…one breath at a time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
