Understanding The Fog Of Grief

Understanding the Fog of Grief

🌳 I took this picture as i was out walking this morning thinking and reflecting. The sunlight was peeking through the heavy and deep sky of fog. This is what the fog of grief looks like.

🌳 The fog of grief is a natural part of grief. It is as common as grief itself and has many components.

🌳 Brain fog is your body’s way of protecting you from the intense pain of loss. While you are grieving, your brain is overloaded with grief, sadness, loneliness and leaving little room for everyday tasks.

🌳 Brain fog affects your memory, concentration and cognition. Grief fog is usually temporary but there is no timeline. The fog will lift and resolve naturally.

🌳 Your journey through grief is as individual and unique as your fingerprint. Acknowledge when you are feeling like you are in a brain fog. Stay in the moment. Be with your feelings. Take all the time you need to allow yourself to truly feel. You cannot think yourself out of grief.

☀️Walk in the security of the light…trust that the fog will lift. My heart is with you as you courageously navigate your grief journey.
