Thursday Thoughts - safety

Grief Needs Safety

Being believed is safety.

A consistent person is safety.

Being met with compassion is safety.

Having your grief witnessed is safety.

Being seen, known and heard is safety.

Not having to explain yourself is safety.

Being loved on an ordinary day is safety.

A room where you can be quiet is safety.

Having your person’s name spoken is safety.

Being welcomed exactly as you are is safety.

Someone who can hold your feelings is safety.

Not being rushed through your healing is safety.

Being allowed to grieve in your own way is safety.

A place where tears don’t need an apology is safety.

Knowing you don’t have to carry it all alone is safety.
