National Grief Awareness Day

National Grief Awareness Day

August 30

Also recognizing International Bereaved Father’s Day.

A day to remember and honor bereaved fathers grieving the death of a child.

🩶 You don’t need a special day to remember.

Grief remembers for you.

It lives in the quiet moments.
The anniversaries.
The empty chair.

And in the love that remains…
always.

🩶 A reminder for anyone who needs to hear it today:

I remember. I
I’m thinking of you.
I haven’t forgotten.

To the fathers grieving a child…

I see you.

Your child mattered.
Your love matters.
You matter.

🩶 Grief doesn’t follow the calendar.

And it doesn’t follow the expectations of others.

The world moves forward.
That doesn’t mean we stop remembering.

Remembering is one of the greatest gifts we can give.

🩶 August 30 is personal for me.

Today marks 28 years since the death of our youngest son.

We remember him.
We love him.
We miss him.

And we carry his love with us.

Love doesn’t end.
