A Thanksgiving Prayer for Grieving Families
Dear Father, we ask you to comfort those who have sadness in their hearts because of an empty place at the table. May your peace and tranquility be with all those whose loved one has joined you above and are so dearly missed and deeply loved. As we light a candle this holiday may it glow in memorial of those in Heaven. May their light always shine down on us and guide us as we feel their presence. May we savor each moment we have with one another, to rightly remember those who have gone before us and to give thanks to all you have joined together this Thanksgiving week. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
