Bereavement, Grief & Mourning are not the same.
Bereavement. The period of grief and mourning after a loss. Bereavement is the period after a loss during which grief and mourning occur.
Grief. The normal process of reacting to a loss. Grief refers to the internal experience of loss.
Mourning. The outward expression of deep sorrow after loss. Mourning is the outward expression of grief.
