Children’s Grief Awareness Day

November 18 is Children’s Grief Awareness Day.
1 in 5 children will experience the death of someone they love.
Let us not allow children to become the forgotten grievers.
Any child that is old enough to love is old enough to grieve.
A simple, truthful explanation (age-appropriate) that the child’s loved one has died is essential for the child to understand and to begin the journey of healthy grieving.
We know if children grieve well, they go on to live and love well. Gently wrap your arms around the little hearts with much care, love and support.
