Five Facts To Know About Grief And Loss
◾ Grief is not linear nor does it follow specific patterns, stages or timeline.
◾ Grief is not limited to death. Grief is a natural and normal response to any loss including divorce, loss of job, loss of pet, loss or change of health, etc.
◾ Grief is an ongoing journey. We don’t get over ‘it’ but we grow through it.
◾ Grief changes us. Our life is not what it once was nor are we who we were prior to the loss.
◾ Grief is shared with hugs and tears while at other times it is private. Both are necessary with grief.
