Grief Friend

grief friend
(grief-friend) noun
💚 a person who is by your side – who is able to sit in silence – who can just be present with you – who offers you caring support – who you share a bond of mutual compassion.
In supporting a grieving friend it takes kindness, empathy, patience and even flexibility. You don’t need to have answers or give advice or do all the right things. The most important thing you can do for a grieving person is to simply be there. Creating an atmosphere of your loving support and caring presence so your friend knows you are there is what is most helpful.
