Today, on your heavenly birthday,
I hold you gently in my heart.
A lullaby I still carry for you.
A sweetness held close for you.
Your angelic face, always with me.
Days like this arrive softly, layered with what was, what could have been and what
still is in ways we cannot touch or see.
I have always felt that remembering you, speaking your name, though your time here was short, does not keep us in the past. It is love, continuing.
If you are holding someone close in that tender space where grief and love meet, you are not alone. Among those of us who carry this love and absence, there is shared knowing that needs no words.
Today, I honor my son with gentleness.
With gratitude for the gift of his life.
With love that has never left.
Love does not measure itself in months or years. It simply remains.
And in remembering, in sharing, in holding him close in our hearts, we carry him with us, always. 🤍
