Monday Afternoon Prayer
“Come to me,
all you who are
weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
Invitation: Jesus extends an invitation to all who feel tired, worn out or burdened.
Promise of Rest: Jesus promises to give you rest, not just from physical labor, but from the heavy emotional and spiritual burdens.
Turn to Him: This verse encourages you to come to Jesus, to turn to Him for help and guidance.
Universal Appeal: The invitation is open to everyone.
Loving Father, as we come before You,
we humbly accept Jesus invitation to
‘Come to me, all you who are weary and
burdened, and I will give you rest.’
Thank you for your promise of rest and
the assurance that you are gentle and humble in heart. Lord Jesus, we lay down our burdens at your feet, seeking your
strength and guidance. Help us find rest for our soul in the embrace of your love.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
