A Prayer For The Grieving This Christmas
Immanuel, You are with us.
You are the holy God who became flesh and dwelt among
us. You came to give us abundant life, to give us hope, to
give us light.
You are the light when the world feels like it has gone dark.
You are the brightest light.
Your birth is the reason we can grieve with a confident
hope, we can believe that what is ahead of this life is filled
with immeasurably more than what we could imagine.
We ask you to draw near to the brokenhearted this
Christmas. Hold them close with Your comfort and peace.
We keep our eyes on You as You are the reason for this
Christmas season.
You are Immanuel, forever and ever with us.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
