Grief Awareness Day 2023

National Grief Awareness Day

Today, August 30th, is National Grief Awareness Day.
We all have been touched by grief in our life. We will all grieve. If you love, you will one day know sorrow. To love is to grieve.
In your heart you have come to know your deepest pain. Your grief has brought challenges that seem beyond your own capacity to survive. Your soul cries out. As you live in this painful place, you come to learn you must surrender to your grief, sit gently with yourself and make space for your wounds.
25 years ago today is also the day that my youngest, precious son went from our arms to Heaven. Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 25 years. He has inspired so much in our lives.
My heart has been pierced for Heaven. Heaven is real, real enough to suffer for, real enough to inspire hope and perseverance, real enough to lead with love.
All my love, to heaven and beyond!
Fly by Celine Dion
Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of Heaven’s love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again
Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forevermore
But hold this memory bittersweet
Until we meet
Fly, fly do not fear
Don’t waste a breath, don’t shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don’t wait for me
Above the universe, you’ll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won’t forget
Fly, fly, little wing
Fly where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light
