National Grief Awareness Day 8:30

National Grief Awareness Day

August 30th

National Grief Awareness Day

“I don’t grieve just for the moment my loved one passed. I grieve the past, the future, and the now. A human being is more than just one moment in time.” ~ Angie Cartwrigh

National Grief Awareness Day allows us to advocate for those in grief. The bereaved need the love and support of caring companions and places where they are safe to openly and authentically mourn. Companioning is being fully present to the mourner. From my heart to yours…I am present with you as you grieve.
I’m taking a moment to share a small piece of my own grief. Jesus escorted my youngest son, Winston, from our arms to heaven’s gate 23 years ago today. What matters most? Heaven… and love on our journey. Always so grateful for you Son! I miss you everyday…until we meet again! We love you with all of our hearts, sweet baby boy, Win!!!
