October PIL Awareness 10:1

Pregnancy And Infant Loss Awareness Month

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month
Support Grieving Parents
* Donate in memory of their child
* Mention their child’s name
* Remember their child with them
* Send a message of support
* Celebrate them as a mother & father
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month was first declared by President Ronald Reagan on October 15, 1988.
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is observed on October 15th each year and includes the International Wave of Light.
In the United States, 1 out of every 4 pregnancies end during pregnancy, delivery or infancy. Many families suffer in silence and long to know they are not walking alone.
October (and every month) is an opportunity to recognize the unique grief of bereaved parents in order to promote awareness, improve education and to offer support to the many families.
I hold space for all bereaved parents in my heart and prayers.
