How to care for yourself while grieving:
* Give Yourself Permission to grieve, to express your emotions, to feel your loss and do not rush your grief.
* Be Gentle with Yourself. Be kind to yourself with no self-criticism or judgment.
* Avoid Difficult Environments. Do not watch TV news, violent movies or be in large crowds.
* Journaling is a time to explore your grief, process your emotions and express your feelings.
* Spend Time in Nature. Taking a walk, going for a bike ride, explore a local park can be grounding and provides time and solititude to process your feelings and thoughts.
