Summertime Self-Care

Summertime Self-Care
Grief is neither linear nor predictable. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Managing grief means practicing self-care.
💚 Take time. The summertime can be physically and emotionally draining due to hot weather, more time outdoors and longer days. Try to eat something nutritious every day, hydrate, calm your mind with gentle exercise, go for a bike ride and enjoy the solitude of a garden.
💚 Create a healing environment. Choose time to be still and have quiet time. Be comforted in your environment that is inviting, comforting and restful.
💚 Allow yourself to grieve. Allow yourself to feel what you feel. Do not deny or avoid whatever emotion you are feeling. Your emotions are part of the healing process.
The loss of a loved one is something you never get over but you can find healing and happiness again. It is essential in the grieving process to practice self-care.
