Monday Morning Prayer
“I have told you these things,
so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart!
I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
In this life, we are faced with trials of sorrow, difficulties, sickness, tragedy and tribulation.
John 16:33 combines comfort, peace, teaching, encouragement and victory. The ‘peace’ Jesus speaks of is not worldly comfort, or even happiness. Instead, it is the ‘rest’ we find in walking through life in His peace and purpose.
Thank you, Father, for Your words of comfort and peace. I pray that in all the trials and tribulations of life, that our heart and mind will rest in Jesus so that His perfect peace will carry us through all life’s difficulties, for Your praise and glory.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
